This fall, DKMS, the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting blood cancer and blood disorders, will host its 19th annual black-tie gala on Tuesday, October 14 at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street. The evening will honor internationally acclaimed supermodel, advocate, and entrepreneur Coco Rocha, recognizing her longtime support of the organization’s life-saving mission.

Guests will enjoy a special performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, as well as a lively auction hosted by comedian Mario Cantone. The gala will also spotlight the remarkable story of Madison Adams, a 13-year-old survivor of Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and her donor William Dossett, whose decision to join the registry was inspired by a friend’s transplant.
“Our gala is a celebration of the global community that makes our work possible…The generosity of our supporters allows us to continue our worldwide mission, reaching patients and donors across five continents. We are deeply committed to ensuring that every single patient, no matter where they are, has the chance to find a matching donor and a future free from blood cancer.”
-Katharina Harf, Chairman of DKMS Global.

Founded 34 years ago by Peter Harf in memory of his wife, DKMS has grown into an international leader in donor registration and patient advocacy. With over 13 million registered donors worldwide, the organization has facilitated more than 125,000 stem cell transplants to date. Beyond donor registration, DKMS also provides access to transplantation in low and middle-income countries, invests in cutting-edge research, and supports medical infrastructure to expand treatment worldwide. Honoree Coco Rocha added, “I have been privileged to support DKMS for more than a decade. Their mission, to give people a second chance at life, is something truly profound to see in action. Every donor match is nothing short of a miracle. To stand alongside my friend Katharina and this extraordinary organization has been one of the great honors of my life.”
This year’s gala is chaired by Peter Harf, Katharina Harf, and Viktoria von Wulffen, with DKMS Ambassadors LP and Coco Rocha lending their voices to the cause.
