Book lovers, take note: the East Hampton Library’s annual Authors Night returns on Saturday, August 8th, bringing together more than 100 celebrated writers for one of the Hamptons’ most anticipated cultural events of the summer.
Held under a grand tent in Herrick Park, the 22nd annual fundraiser invites guests to spend the evening meeting acclaimed authors, purchasing books, and having them personally signed during the lively Book Signing Cocktail Party beginning at 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres, and conversations with some of today’s most influential voices in literature, journalism, politics, entertainment, food, and science.
This year’s impressive lineup includes Robert A. Caro, Amy Chozick, Florence Fabricant, Eddie S. Glaude Jr., Bianna Golodryga, Xochitl Gonzalez, Karine Jean-Pierre, Carol Leifer, Don Lemon, Susan Lucci, Jay McInerney, Beth Stern, Michael Symon, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and many more.
For guests looking to extend the evening, select ticket holders will continue on to intimate Author Dinner Parties hosted at private Hamptons residences, where featured authors join guests for memorable conversations over dinner.
Now in its 22nd year, Authors Night has become one of the country’s premier literary events, with proceeds supporting the East Hampton Library’s mission to provide free programs, educational resources, and community services throughout the year.
The Book Signing Cocktail Party begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 8th, at Herrick Park in East Hampton Village. Reception tickets are $150, while Author Dinner Party tickets begin at $500, including admission to the reception.
