A lively Saturday evening was in store for the guests of the Southampton Arts Center Whimsy event on June 28th. This event benefited the center and their programs with a special feature from Motown music band That Motown Band creating an environment made to dance. Guests Included Cuba Gooding Jr., Claudia De Niro, Sydney Sadick, Jean Shaifroff, Kara Ross, and more!
The Southampton Arts Center is driven by bringing communities together with a passion for a wide range of arts and involvement events. Their approach is centered around creating relevant exhibitions and experiences to bring people together. Guests not only connected and danced to the wonderful Motown rhythms but also moved through their current exhibit, Independency: The American Flag at 250 Years. Curated by John R. Monsky and Christina M. Strassfield, the exhibit is the perfect blend of art and history with something for all to enjoy. This exhibit sparked meaningful conversations and set the stage for an amazing summer season.
With Spotlight as a sponsor, guests received an exclusive Spotlight tote bag filled with our brand new issue courtesy of the Next-Gen Committee chair at SAC, our very own Editor-In-Chief Sydney Sadick. Overall it was a magical night filled with dancing, discussion, and a deep connection to supporting the arts.
