Andrea Bocelli made history on Saturday, September 13, with Grace for the World—a landmark concert staged live from St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. Co-directed by Bocelli and Pharrell Williams, the performance brought together an extraordinary lineup of international talent and was streamed worldwide on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News.
The world-renowned tenor performed alongside Karol G for their first live duet of “Vivo Por Ella” and joined Teddy Swims for a stirring rendition of “Amazing Grace.” Additional performances came from Pharrell Williams, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Clipse, Jelly Roll, BamBam, and Angélique Kidjo, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion of gospel, soul, hip-hop, pop, and classical music. The evening also featured reflections from cultural, diplomatic, and sports leaders, as well as a breathtaking drone and light show by Nova Sky Stories, inspired by the Sistine Chapel.
Bocelli used the occasion to announce his forthcoming single, a new recording of “The Blessing” with Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes, set for release later this year on Decca/Capitol Christian Music Group. The concert closed the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity in celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year, serving as both a cultural and spiritual milestone.
“As an artist, I have always believed that music is not just entertainment, but above all a universal language: a bridge capable of uniting cultures, peoples, and hearts.”
