On June 27th, 2024, the Central Park Conservancy held its Greensward Circle annual summer benefit at the Conservatory Water in Central Park.

The theme of the evening was “A Night to Set Sail,” and guests from all corners of the city came out in support of maintaining Central Park.

Dressed in nautical-inspired wear, the guests were treated to an array of cocktails including sparkling rosé from Aphrodise, gin, whiskey, and vodka from Castle and Key, tequila cocktails from Talkhouse Encore, and other drinks from Via Carota Craft Cocktails.

While sipping on a variety of cocktails, the guests were able to indulge in bites which Edenopolis set up on a 20-foot grazing table along the water’s edge.

The night’s main activity was messages in a bottle which guests were able to take home with them provided by Poetry at Party.

Of course, the attendees also could not go home without a sweet treat. Each guest left with a chocolate chip scone from Hungry Gnome.

The event’s co-chairs were Alice Cash and Rebecca Malizia. The rest of the host committee included Brittany Beyer Harwin, Blythe Bonan, Caroline Colella, Elaine Dealy, Whitney Dosik, Naomi Drucker, Lindsay Hoeppner, Courtney Kelly, Madison Ladymon, Kaitlyn Lynch, Jeffrey McHugh, Ashley Post, Alayna Putterman, Brian Reinke, Raquel Ringgold, Lauren Kiana Souchère, Katie Turner, Ruth Zapata, and Megan Zuckerman.

“Central Park is the heart and soul of New York City. On any day, at any time of year, the Park is filled with
people looking for a peaceful escape from urban life,” said Rebecca Malizia. “The Greensward Circle, the young professional network of the Central Park Conservancy, supports the Conservancy’s efforts to preserve and protect this place that is special to so many.”

The near-400 guests raised $134,000 at the conclusion of the evening in support of the Central Park Conservatory. This evening by the water was certainly one to remember!
