Cartier has officially opened the doors to its new permanent Palm Beach boutique, a jewel box set within the iconic Royal Poinciana Plaza that beautifully reflects the coastal elegance of the city and the Maison’s storied connection to the area. The opening marks a significant moment for Cartier, which has maintained a Palm Beach presence for over a century, beginning with its first seasonal boutique in the Beaux Arts Building in 1924.
Located at 70 Royal Poinciana Plaza, the new boutique presents the full universe of Cartier — from signature and high jewelry to timepieces, leather goods, fragrance, and accessories. Designed as an oasis of discovery, the space embodies the Maison’s spirit of reinvention and cultural immersion, paired with the impeccable service synonymous with Cartier.

The boutique occupies a historic portion of the beloved Royal Poinciana Playhouse, originally opened in 1958 and designed by celebrated Palm Beach architect John Volk in the Regency Revival style. Maintaining the preserved façade — protected by the Landmarks Preservation Commission — Cartier honors the playhouse’s legacy, including its crown of Italian-imported statues depicting the four seasons. Inside, Regency-inspired touches come to life through ornate wrought iron details, colored stucco, classical friezes, and wooden shutters. Dramatic arched windows are dressed with ombré curtains woven on traditional hand-operated looms, a poetic nod to the original theater curtains once raised for each performance.
The interiors have been completely reimagined, drawing from the natural beauty and luminous palette of Palm Beach. Seventeen-foot ceilings, sunlit spaces, and a hand-painted golden gradient bring warmth to the boutique. Custom reliefs of native foliage, wooden floors recalling the region’s maritime heritage, and opalescent Murano-glass sconces shaped like seashells and palm leaves create an environment that feels both transportive and deeply tied to Cartier’s own design codes.
The Cartier Palm Beach boutique is now open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Sundays from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
