Some people spend a lifetime following one path. Pauline Adams has never been one of them. The Greek-American artist has lived several lives already, from working as a government official and policy researcher to becoming an award-winning international ballroom dancer—and now, she is entering a new chapter as a professional artist.
Growing up in Greece, Adams was drawing portraits before she could write. While her career eventually took her into another world, she never stopped seeing life through an artist’s eyes. Today, she works between Florida and Greece, creating atmospheric figurative oil paintings inspired by everyday moments; a person walking along a beach, a Greek village beneath a changing sky, or an animal in the afternoon light. Her work invites viewers to slow down and notice the beauty around them.
This fall, Adams will present her first-ever exhibition on her home island of Kefalonia at the Municipal Theater Kefalos from September 2nd to 5th, featuring 18 original paintings. She will also exhibit as part of the ArtSelection Show at the Venice Biennale 2026 on September 23rd, before opening galleries in Kefalonia and Delray Beach, Florida, later this year.
