Philanthropist and civic leader Jean Shafiroff ushered in the Palm Beach season with an elegant evening reception at her new Manalapan residence, hosted alongside her husband, Martin Shafiroff, in honor of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County. The intimate gathering welcomed 120 guests, including prominent Palm Beach supporters, civic leaders, and community philanthropists, for a night centered on preservation, education, and the enduring stories that define the region. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while learning more about the Society’s vital work safeguarding archives, supporting exhibitions, and expanding public access to local history.

A longtime champion of charitable causes, Shafiroff spoke passionately about the importance of investing in institutions that protect cultural identity and inspire future generations. “Palm Beach County has an extraordinary history, and it is important that we preserve it and share it,” she shared. “The Society plays a vital role in keeping these stories alive, and I am proud to bring people together in support of that mission.” Attendees were encouraged to contribute to the Society’s initiatives, helping sustain its preservation efforts and public programming throughout the season.
