Spotlight sat down with Netflix’s Selling The City star and real estate agent Jordyn Taylor Braff to hear all about her involvement on the show came about, her chic wardrobe, and so much more.
Check out our exclusive Q&A session with Braff below!
How did your real estate career begin? Did you always know you wanted to get into the industry?
I happened upon real estate! I was living in NY but traveling for work and realized I wanted to be more planted in the city. I was always the friend everyone went to for help finding their homes, so it was only natural to make it official. My first deal was a gorgeous $10m penthouse in Hell’s Kitchen!
How did your involvement with Selling The City come about? Why did you decide to join the show?
They slid in my DMs, baby! I had been approached by every real estate show in the books and it never felt quite right. This was different. This was Adam Divello, this was Netflix, and this was female-focused. It was a no-brainer!
What was the filming process like?
It’s a lot! The glitz and the glam of it all is so much fun, but balancing real estate, filming, and personal life is incredibly difficult. It took a lot of organization and chit-chats with God.
Your style on the show is so chic. What is the wardrobe selection like? Were you wearing clothes from your own closet?
Thank you! I worked with a great up-and-coming stylist, Khushnoor Verma, for the season. It was important to me that we sought out as many BIPOC, female, and local designers as possible. I’m so proud of the looks we churned out.

How has your career evolved since Selling The City came out?
The show legitimized and recognized the solid business we were already conducting as a team. Since its release, we’ve had an influx of interest from developers asking for our representation. It’s also done a great job of reawakening dormant buyers and sellers.
If the show gets renewed for another season, what would you like to show the audience more of?
When we get renewed (I’m manifesting it!), I want the show to dig deeper into how these deals get done start-to-finish. I want to kick my fashion up another notch. Plus, your girl is single now. Maybe I can get in some camera dates!
Any exciting projects coming up?
On the real estate side, we have some really cool projects on the horizon. An iconic new development coming to market, and some gorgeous resales. On the show side, there might be some fun crossovers happening soon!
