Literacy Partners held its 2025 Evening of Readings and Gala Dinner at Pier Sixty in New York City. The organization supports life-changing literacy programs to empower families through education.
The over $1M proceeds from the gala were sent directly to these programs for adults, parents, and caregivers from 30 states and Puerto Rico.

The evening began with cocktails and was followed by opening remarks from the Literacy Partners team and dinner.
Four individuals were recognized during the evening for their contributions and dedication to the organization’s mission. Erroll McDonald, Cynthia McFadden, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Bob Woodward were all honored during the gala.
The Evening of Readings and Gala Dinner also paid a special tribute to the late author Barbara Taylor Bradford.
Global Media Leader Oprah Winfrey served as a special guest and presenter, adding her signature wisdom to the evening.
Notable attendees included Asaf Bar-Tura, Ronan Farrow, Lesley Stahl, Carl Bernstein, Courtney E.K. Lewis, Lesley Stahl, Elyse Mayer, Spencer Graham McFadden Hoge, Jean Shafiroff, Jonathan Karp, Jon Yaged, Joni Evans, and Elizabeth T. Peabody.

The evening was as beautiful as it was inspiring and ultimately aided an important cause.
