Miami Art Basel came to a close this past weekend, but we’re still reeling from the events!
Art Week is known for bringing in the hottest artists, celebrities, and personalities from near and far. There are always events and pop-up installations happening around the city, and we’ve rounded up some of the most buzz-worthy happenings from this past Art Basel.
PUCCI Fun Fair
Renowned Italian fashion house Emilio Pucci held its very own “Fun Fair” at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens on December 3rd. Guests were able to immerse themselves in classic carnival games that featured vibrant Pucci twists curated by the brand’s Artistic Director Camille Micelli. There were gelato stands, fortune tellers, magicians, and a special performance Disco Bambino.
Notable attendees included Camille Micelli, Gunna, Cindy Prado, Tinx, Adot Gak, Eva Hughes, and more.
Golden Goose x Valfré
On December 4th, Golden Goose brought the heat to Miami by teaming up with Mexican artist Valfré on an exclusive in-store event in the Design District. The event was co-hosted by model Karolina Kurkova. Golden Goose revealed an exclusive Super-Star sneaker designed by Valfré.
Guests were also able to enjoy a co-creation moment with the artist, adding personalized touches on Golden Goose sneakers. Key attendees included Karolina Kurkova, Sydney Sadick, Devon Windsor, Afiya Bennett, Camila Coelho, and more.
Grey/Ven and Artist Mister George Art Week Moment
Quiet luxury brand Grey/Ven announced a collaboration with artist Mister George at Miami Art Basel. On Friday, December 7th, the two celebrated this exclusive collection at Grey/Ven CEO Scott Weissman’s waterfront villa in Miami.
The collection features Grey/Ven’s signature vegan leather goods adorned with Mister George’s abstract face designs. Guests enjoyed sushi prepared by Yasu Tanaka and a three-hour DJ set by BlondsNBoots. Notable guests included Dr. Nicholas Perricone, Fabian Basabe, Claudine De Niro, Dwight Howard, Leo Braudy, and Brittany Wisniewski.
Elisabetta Franchi and Marco Bizzarri Cocktail Event
Elisabetta Franchi and Marco Bizzarri held a luxurious cocktail event titled “Sotto le Stelle” in the Sky Penthouse at 1 Hotel South Beach on December 4th. The event celebrated Elisabetta Franchi’s Bal Harbour Boutique and United States expansion. Guests enjoyed a special performance from DJ BLOND:ISH while adorning Elisabetta Franchi designs.
Fashion industry elites who attended the event included Taylor Hill, Alessandra Ambrosio, Maria Borges, Claire Holt, Devon Windsor, Cindy Prado, and Brooke Wise.
Blue The Great x 7-Eleven x Secret Walls
Artist Blue The Great teamed up with Secret Walls and 7-Eleven this Miami Art Basel to create a one-of-a-kind collection that seamlessly blends art and skate. The trio took over the citizenM Miami Worldcenter Rooftop for a live paint battle between local artists Cory Van Lew and Brian Butler to celebrate the launch.
Blue The Great also gave a live performance to commemorate the capsule collection with 7-Eleven’s online store. Guests were able to shop the limited edition collaboration while immersing themselves in the rest of the activites happening on the rooftop.
Pearl Lam Galleries and Michal Korman at LPM Restaurant & Bar
This past Art Week, Pearl Lam Galleries teamed up with artist Michal Korman to take over LPM Restaurant & Bar’s lavish space. Korman’s work was displayed throughout the restaurant all week long. The restaurant even created a bespoke dessert and cocktail menu inspired by Korman’s art.
The collaboration was celebrated with a cocktail event at LPM on Thursday, December 5th.
