On August 27th and 28th, the ninth annual North Fork TV Festival will be held at the Sound View Greenport Hotel.
This festival curates independent pilots and facilitates conversations among industry titans. There is also an annual Independent TV Pilot and Script Competition.
The North Fork TV Festival recently announced that Emmy-winning actor and co-star of this year’s comedy pilot winner, Richard Schiff, will be the 2024 Ambassador for the Arts honoree.
“We are honored to present Richard Schiff with this year’s Ambassador for the Arts Award,” says Founder Noah Doyle. “His remarkable talent and dedication across TV and film have inspired viewers worldwide.”
Joining Schiff, the lineup includes Emmy-nominated actors John Turturro and Marcia Gay Harden, as well as Bridget Moynahan and Kelsey Grammer.
North Fork’s Artistic Director Mike Stern announced the winners of this year’s Independent Pilot competition prior to the festival.
The winners include Swipe NYC, starring Lisa Edelstein (House) and created by Sue Zarco Kramer, The Sessions, starring R. Keith Harris (Dopesick), created by Al Julian and Vince Eisenson (Drama), The Ladies, starring Jessica Toltzis (Your Honor), created by Juliana Piscina(Comedy) and Typical Dan Peterson Stuff, starring and created by Scott Kruse, Josh Long, and Kurt Quinn (Man Camp) (Sketch).
North Fork also revealed the winners of the pilot script competition. Gregory Abbey and Hedi-Marie Ferren took the cake in this category.
There will also be a panel moderated by Roy Ashton with TV showrunners Kevin Wade and Chris Brancato during the festival.
