Designer Dennis Basso unveiled his Spring/Summer 2026 collection on Tuesday, September 16, at The Columbus Foundation in New York City. Guests including Wendy Williams, Crystal Waters, Ramona Singer, Didi Jay, and Carolina Vazzana gathered to celebrate the latest chapter in Basso’s four-decade career.
Inspired by the strong American woman, the collection highlighted what Basso calls “New World glamour.” The designs balanced sharp tailoring with delicate femininity, expressed through light, flowing fabrics such as silks, pleated chiffon, double-faced satin, embroidered silk, point d’esprit, taffeta, and organza. Handmade silk petals adorned gowns and dresses, evoking a field of flowers in bloom, while flowing scarves, petite evening boleros, and the return of the “summer fur” in broadtail, sable, and mink completed the lineup.
The color palette featured soft, airy tones of mint, buttercup, and ice blue alongside Basso’s signature black and white. Silhouettes ranged from one-shoulder gowns and knee-length dinner dresses to wide-leg trousers and daytime occasion ensembles. Select pieces from the Dennis by Dennis Basso collection for QVC were also shown, underscoring the designer’s belief in celebrating fashion across all levels and for women of every age. Basso will continue his celebration of more than 40 years in fashion on October 8, when he joins Fern Mallis for Fashion Icons at the 92nd Street Y.
