On Tuesday, January 30th, Abercrombie celebrated its iconic new collaboration with McLaren’s Formula 1 racing team. The celebration took place at Abercrombie’s 5th Avenue location in New York City.
This exclusive NYC event had attendees revved up and ready to shop this collection. The night consisted of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, photo-ops, and an eclectic DJ set by Austin Millz.
Though there were many high-profile guests at the NYC event, McLaren’s new Formula 1 car, which featured the racing team’s official 2024 livery design, was arguably the star of the show.
The McLaren race car was strategically placed in the front of the store so it was the first thing attendees saw upon arriving. The store was also chock-full of Abercrombie x McLaren merchandise.
Abercrombie and McLaren’s relationship began back in 2023 when the brands collaborated on merchandise and went viral on social media—especially TikTok.
Since then, the two companies have furthered their relationship. The new Abercrombie x McLaren Racing collection includes six new licensed tees, hoodies, and sweatshirts.

The brand new McLaren Formula 1 racing car will reside in Abercombie’s 5th Avenue location until Sunday, February 4th for public viewing.
