As someone who has lived in the Hamptons pretty much all of my life, I’ve learned that this special place is much more than just a summer escape or destination on the East End. It’s a vibrant blend of different cultures, histories, and traditions, making me proud to call it my home.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned Hamptons enthusiast, I’ve shared some of my favorite spots and things to do to make your visit memorable. Discover the best places to eat, shop, and explore, from the quaint villages to the vibrant cultural scene and outdoor activities.
WHERE TO SHOP
Blooming Shells
I often find amazing treasures here, a store known for its unique and beautiful shell-inspired items. Each visit feels like a mini treasure hunt. This shop is fun for people of all ages and offers a wide array of items, from shells to jewelry to artwork, books, and clothing.
Leallo
When I’m looking for comfy yet stylish clothes, Leallo is my go-to. They have an amazing selection of wardrobe staples perfect for lounging or exploring the Hamptons.
Sage and Madison
This is an historical property that has chic guest suites for short-term stays and a high-end gift shop and coffee spot. I love stopping by to grab a refreshing iced tea and browse through its selection of home goods and décor.
Salt House Mercantile
I love discovering beautiful home accessories at Salt Mercantile. This shop offers a curated selection of items that can add a touch of Hamptons charm to any home!\
Stella and Ruby
For those with kids, Stella and Ruby offers fun and fashionable clothing from newborn to tween. The shop has hard-to-find labels from Europe, fun and functional modern pieces from popular brands, and everything in between. I love picking up stylish outfits for my daughters here.

Stop by my boutique in Sag Harbor, where we can dress you from head to toe! We have a carefully curated mix of high-end fashion, accessories, and vintage finds.
WHERE TO EAT
Carissa’s the Bakery
This is one of my favorites. They have an amazing selection of artisanal breads, viennoiseries, cakes, pies, and house-spun gelatos, alongside a kitchen menu of nutritious foods. I often come here for the sandwiches. Should I mention that they are a James Beard Award–winning bakery, too?
Duryea’s Montauk
If you want an unforgettable dining experience, head to Duryea’s! This restaurant is known for its fresh seafood and stunning waterfront views, making it perfect for a romantic dinner date or a meal with friends. I love its famous lobster roll and always try to time my visit here with the sunset.
Estia’s Little Kitchen
This beloved breakfast and lunch spot offers farm-to-table dishes in a cozy and casual setting. I love coming here for breakfast. They serve eclectic Mexican-American food made with local produce, so you know it’s going to be fresh and flavorful.
Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee
Do you need some morning coffee or a little pick-me-up midday? Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee has the best organic coffee and delicious vegan baked goods.
Provisions Natural Food Market & Cafe
For a healthy and delicious option, I go to Provisions. It started as a health food store but has evolved into a full-scale natural foods grocery and café. I usually order its famous turkey taco salad, which has chili-spiced turkey, shredded romaine lettuce, corn salsa, avocado, tomato, and crispy tortilla strips with cilantro-lime dressing. It’s so nutritious and tasty!
Tutto Il Giorno
For the perfect Italian cuisine, Tutto il Giorno is the best place to go. It’s a more upscale lunch experience, and its elegant atmosphere makes it a special spot for a memorable meal.
WHAT TO DO
SoulCycle
I love a fun and energizing exercise experience, so I come to SoulCycle in Bridgehampton. Its high-energy classes and motivating instructors always leave me feeling refreshed and invigorated. My favorite instructors there are Julie and Laura, who always know how to bring the heat.
The Parrish Art Museum
My favorite cultural experience in the Hamptons! This stunning museum showcases American art, with a particular focus on artists from the East End of Long Island. The architecture itself is a sight to behold, and the surrounding landscape adds to the serene atmosphere.
The Wine Stand
Our Sunset Music series at The Wine Stand at Wölffer Estate has become the place to be on Fridays, Saturdays, and select Sundays and weekdays throughout the summer. It’s a casual night among the vines, where you can enjoy a glass of wine and live music while taking in the picturesque views of the vineyard and the beautiful sunset.
Town Line Beach
My favorite beach is Town Line Beach. It’s ideal for sunbathing, swimming, or simply enjoying the scenic coastal views. I often come here to soak up some sun, and the soft sand and gentle waves provide the perfect setting for relaxation.
Walking Dunes
When I’m up for a little adventure, I visit the Walking Dunes in Napeague for a hike. The trails wind through stunning dune landscapes offering breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. It’s a great way to get some exercise while enjoying the beauty of the Hamptons’ natural environment.
