On Thursday, October 12th Houston-based designer Christy Lynn Lee brought her southern charm to NYC to celebrate her Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
Christy Lynn kicked off the evening with a fabulous presentation of the collection, followed by an intimate dinner at Majorelle, NYC with some of the hottest names in media right now.
Media stars and influencers including Jenny Cipoletti, Sydney Sadick, Sophie Elgort, Kate Bartlet, Natalie and Dylana Suarez, Janie Pierrepont, Aya Kanai, and more all attended the dinner in looks from Christy Lynn’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
The collection titled “La Danse” is a celebration of life and new beginnings. “We dance through the collection with romance and embrace unexpected turns for new opportunities,” says Lee. “Every detail is made with fear and excitement.”
La Danse is heavily influenced by vintage Asian textiles, which filled Majorelle with florals. Many of the attendees wore key looks from the collection. Christy Lynn played with romantic colors and textiles throughout the collection.
Many of the guests wore sheer, silky, and eyelet looks in shades of pink, purple, black, powder blue, and white. Christy Lynn is known for its classic, elegant silhouettes which were present throughout La Danse. The garments consisted of pleated dresses, flowy floral trousers, blouses, and more.
La Danse has an easy-breezy, yet chic feel which is exactly what Lee was trying to achieve. The collection is inspired by “the dance of life,” Lee says, which is made clear by the silhouettes, patterns, and colors used.
Christy Lynn did not miss a detail when it came to creating an intimate dinner that mimicked its Spring/Summer 2024 collection. The guests were not the only thing dripped in florals—so was the room. Marjorelle was filled with elegant floral arrangements, similar to the florals used in the collection.
The attendees sipped on wine and got to enjoy a three-course meal consisting of a colorful salad, salmon and ratatouille, and a chocolate tart and biscuits. The French cuisine only amplified the romantic ambiance of the evening.
This intimate dinner was filled with media stars and influencers was the perfect way to celebrate Christy Lynn’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection La Danse.
