SYDNEY’S 5 TIPS FOR PLANNING YOUR WEDDING
1. Pick your venue, wedding dress, and other key players as soon as you can! The earlier you can book, the less stress you will have about the most important aspects to planning your wedding.
2. Your wedding event designer is the most critical investment you’ll make. We used Birch Event Design; founder Josh Spiegel is a creative genius and made our wedding dreams come true—white and gold all the way!
3. Don’t feel pressured to follow the “rules.” I didn’t wear white for my rehearsal dinner; we kept our wedding parties to just family; we didn’t have any wedding speeches; and we did a few other things that weren’t typical but were right for us. Do what’s right for you!
4. Enjoy the process! Once it’s over, it’s over, and honestly, I’m happy it is. But it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience so just enjoy all of it, even the annoying and stressful moments!
5. Most importantly, make sure you’re marrying your one true love! As the child of divorced parents, I know this to be true. You want to do this right…the first time!
