This holiday season, Serafina Restaurant Group and luxury womenswear brand Alice + Olivia are serving up a delicious collaboration.
The two teamed up to release a limited edition panettone cake, which is one of Italy’s staple holiday desserts. Serafina and Alice + Olivia’s limited edition cakes were released on Monday, December 11th and are available for purchase at four of Serafina’s 10 NYC locations.
This collaboration would not be possible without perfecting the panettone. Serafina’s owners Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato teamed up with renowned Italian pastry chef Andrea Zanin to get the recipe just right. Zanin’s panettone recipe has earned the chef several awards including best traditional panettone at the World International Pastry Championship.
“Every bite masters the art of sweetness, the layers of different flavors melt in your mouth,” says Vittorio Assaf. “There’s a reason this was named the best panettone cake in Italy. It’s the best panettone I’ve ever tried.”
Once the recipe was perfect, Alice + Olivia brought its playful nature to the panettone. Each cake is covered in the iconic Alice + Olivia “Stace Face” print which has been seen in countless of founder Stacey Bendet’s designs.
“We loved partnering with Alice + Olivia on this collaboration, as their ‘Stace Face’ print is such an iconic and fun design, it adds a fashionable flair of decoration to the festive dessert,” says Vittorio Assaf.
Co-owner Fabio Granato added that he and Assaf are long-time fans of the whimsical designer and hope to collaborate again in the future.
The limited edition Serafina and Alice + Olivia panettone cake is the perfect present for your loved ones—or yourself. The cakes cost $39 and are available at both of Serafina’s Vino E Cucina locations, Café Serafina, and Serafina 79th.
